Now, they've moved on to doing they're own things.Įllie's music is just as developmental as her albums. They have also collaborated individually with Calvin Harris to create "Drinking From the Bottle" & "I Need Your Love", the first two Top 10 singles released after the album 18 Months. The two have even made the songs "Wonderman" and "Hanging On" together. The first time that I've truly acknowledged who Goulding was, she was involved in a lot of the same things that Tinie Tempah was (label, shows, music, etc.).

At the same time, I'm pretty sure a lot of people do that anyway. The closest thing to sampling she ever does is covering songs (a lot of songs). Ironically, as far as we know, her songs themselves have never sampled anything. Flinch's remix of "Anything Could Happen" was also good enough to lead to their collaboration in 2013, "You Don't Know", a song which was later sampled in the Big Sean song of the same name. Examples of this include the currently popular sample of "Don't Say A Word" for the Drake song "Pound Cake / Paris Morton Music 2".

Her vocals talents have become the subject of multiple remixes by electronic artists and samples by rap artists (likely starting with Chiddy Bang). I know I can't exactly call her "Artist of the Year", though there are probably many other big artists out there, but she's the one that stands out to me the most. Ellie Goulding is one of the most influential musicians in modern sampling music.
